MURRAY RITES

Funeral services for Mrs. Louisa H. Murray will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Sun with the Rev. Eddie Lowe officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park. The body will remain at the church from 5 p.m. today until the funeral hour. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Ida Evans of Sun, Mrs. Viola Hammond of Glen Rogers, and Miss Lucille Murray of Cleveland, OH, and 19 grandchildren. Trent Funeral home is in charge.

MRS. ADA HAMMOND


Funeral arrangements are pending for Mrs. Ada Viola Hammond, 68, of 230 Smoot Avenue, who died in a local hospital Monday following a long illness.


Born in Switchback, December 7, 1889, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Reeves, she was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church on Maplewood Lane.


Survivors include her husband, Luther; a son William L., two daughters Miss Mildred Hammond at home and Miss Elsa Hammond of Buffalo, NY and one sister Mrs. Lucille Ross of Cleveland, OH.


The body is at Ritchie and Johnson Funeral Parlor.

Final rites for Mrs. Ada Viola Hammond, 68, of 230 Smoot Street, will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday in the Pentecostal Holiness Church on Maplewod Lane with Elder B.T. Jones and Elder Willie Scholfield in charge.


She died Monday in a local hospital following a long illness.


Burial will follow the services in Greenwood Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Ritchie and Johnson Funeral Parlor after 2 p.m. today.

COSBY RITES WEDNESDAY

Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn Cosby of Wingrove, who died in Oak Hill Hospital Saturday after a brief illness, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the New Hope Baptist Church of Whipple with the Rev. H. DuBois officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Surviving are her husband, Henry Cosby of Wingrove, five daughters, Betty Jean, Eunice, Henriette, Brenda, Joyce and Ira Mae, all of Wingrove; five sons, Thomas Henry, Richard Lee, James Lawrence, Donnie and Ronald all of Wingrove; her mother, Mrs. Louise Murray, Sun, Mrs. Viola Hammond of Glen Rogers, and Lucille Thompson of Cleveland, OH, and other relatives. The body will remain at Washington Funeral Home from 5 p.m. today until the funeral hour.
