Louis Murray was the husband of Louisa Murray, and was born in Virginia, migrated to Elkhorn, WV where he was a Coal Miner. He was the Step-Father of Ida Mildred Evans, but was the biological father of Hattie, Evelyn, Lucille, and Lawrence. Viola and Queen were Reeds which was Louisa Murray's previous name. It is not clear whether Reed was a maiden name or a name from a previous marriage.

Murray, Louis: age 76 years, died Sunday, February 9th at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. L.C. Hammond of Glen Rogers. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, February 16th at 2 p.m. at the Rising Sun Baptist Church, Sun, WV with Rev. Eddie Lowe officiating and assisted by Elder W.M. Goudman. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery, Beckley. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Louisa Murray, five daughters, Mrs. Ida evans, Mrs. Viola Hammond, Mrs Hattie Keller, Mrs. Lucille Thompson, Mrs. Evelyn Cosby, five sons-in-law, seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
