She had a strong sense of family and quickly defended them when necessary. She loved people and always had something good to say abouteveryone. Her children often teased her by saying, “If you could find something

good to say about the devil, you would.”

She met and married the late Bishop Phillip Jones, Sr. (Uncle Junior) and resided in Sun, Scarbro, and finally Beckley, WV. She was a homemaker and left her mark on the lives of those who were blessed to have known her with her undying faith, love and trust in God. She willed a part of her estate to develop an educational trust in her memory that will allow Kisumu students to attend Kenyan colleges. She was an inspiration to us all and we’ll miss her for years to come. Her spirit will live through her legacy that will help do the good works that the Kisumu Sister City Committee is committed to carry out.
